Minor and Guardian Policy

Effective: July 13, 2026Last updated: August 1, 2026

1. Purpose

This policy explains how Jorrify treats accounts and activities involving minors. It describes what Jorrify supports today, not features that may be added in the future.

2. Minimum account age

Users under 13 may not create Jorrify accounts.

If you believe a user under 13 has registered, please contact us immediately so the account can be removed.

3. Users aged 13–17

Users aged 13 to 17 may use Jorrify subject to these terms, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable local law.

In many jurisdictions, users in this age range require parental or guardian permission to use online services. It is the responsibility of the minor and their parent or guardian to ensure that such permission has been obtained.

Parents must not create ordinary accounts pretending to be their children. A Jorrify account must belong to the person who will use it.

4. No guardian-managed child profiles in the MVP

Jorrify does not currently offer guardian-managed child profiles, guardian-controlled payouts, child-profile transfers, co-guardian access, or automated age-transition functionality.

Managed Child Profiles are deferred and are not part of the MVP. This policy will be updated if and when they become available after legal and privacy review.

5. Privacy and visibility protections

Accounts belonging to users under 18 receive conservative privacy and safety treatment where implemented. This may include restricted default visibility settings.

Minor accounts should not be made publicly discoverable. If a minor's celebration is shared, it should be limited to invited participants only.

For details on how Jorrify handles personal information, see the Privacy Policy.

6. Gifts and payments involving minors

Monetary gifting and payouts involving minors may be restricted or unavailable. Jorrify does not currently support guardian-controlled payout setup for minor accounts.

Payment providers may impose their own age, identity, and verification requirements. Minors and their guardians are responsible for ensuring compliance with those requirements.

7. Photographs and content involving minors

Users should share photographs or memories involving minors only when they have appropriate permission from the minor's parent or guardian.

Jorrify may remove content involving minors that creates a privacy, exploitation, or safety risk.

8. Safety reporting

If you become aware of a safety concern involving a minor on Jorrify, please report it immediately.

  • Email the concern to the contact address in Section 9;
  • Include the celebration or account details if possible;
  • State that the report involves a minor so it receives priority review.

Jorrify reviews safety reports involving minors as a priority and may take action including content removal, account restriction, or referral to appropriate authorities.

9. Account restriction and deletion

Jorrify may restrict, suspend, or remove an account when age or consent requirements cannot be confirmed, or when an account appears to have been created in violation of this policy.

If your account has been restricted and you believe this was in error, contact us using the details below.
